Boond

kale badal ki woh ek sham thi sooni
maan bhi soona aur angana bhi sooni
sooni ankhon mein giri thi ek boond
woh kehne lagi mein to rahi thi tujhko hi dhoond
woh boond thi ki chingari mein yeh na jaan saki
woh bikhri aur mein bhi na tan bcha saki
mujhe yaad hai woh raat abhi tak....

chand bhi aaya tha us roz
aur taare bhi sang aye the
maan ki veena ke kuch toote taar kuch soz
Maan ki umang phir le aaye the
Mein bhul gayi woh kale badal
aur bheegh gayi masti mein
mujhko chand bhi lagne laga tha pagal
jo chupa gaya sare badal apni hasti mein

mein darti thi ki subah na hone paye
suraj ki kiran meri boond ko na choone paye
woh aankhon ke raste dil mein jo utar gayi thi
mein kuch bator pati magar woh phir apne raste chali thi
woh boond nahi thi shayad
mere swapn ka toota kan tha
mein to unhi hui diwani
woh to bas soone jivan mein ek shan tha
woh bas aaya tha mujhe behlane
swapan lok ki sair karane
ab to aas ke sang pyaas bhi bhuj gayi
phir soone badal ki sham badal gayi
Mein soch khari hoon rasta takte
jane kab barsegi woh boond mere angan mein phirse....

Closure

Can we define the emptiness of mind, body and soul?
Maybe a silence, undefined, that takes you to your goal..
Or a vacuum, that sucks you in, but still makes you whole…
Caged in our wishes and dreams,
Trying for a drop from hope's stream,
We touch and feel the pull,
But we never stop till we loose it all in a lull,
Wave by wave images come and go,
But then we never did let it go,
We feel the pain and tears,
But are bound by unknown fears,
To loose which was never to be,
To gain which would never let you free,
In the end we look for Closure,
But that’s the thing you never get for sure,
And you are left with the emptiness of mind, body and soul,
For which there is no cure…

One Life (From My Memoirs)

Walking along the memory lane,
Saw a life, full of joy and pain,
A flicker of smile, a tear unshed,
A whispered moment, a rose that was red,
A wisp of hope and beauty not cherished,
A chapter, a page left unfinished,

Up and down, wave by wave ,
It touches you and makes you brave,
Giving you reason and walking along,
Creating dreams and staying that long,
Sorrow or grief, it lifts wings and makes you see,
You can run and hide but you cannot be free,

Following a shadow, a drop of rain,
Carrying and weighing between pain and gain,
To let it go, without a care,
Would not be enough and just fair,
After all its one life,One life to live and share..
